Question: What do I do when I come in to park?
Answer: You must make a reservation online before you arrive at the lot. (The gate will NOT open unless you have a reservation.) Simply pull into entrance lane. The LPR cameras should recognize your license plate and simply open the gate for you. If gate does not open, scan the barcode/QR code from your reservation either on your phone or the printed copy you received in your confirmation email. Pull through the entrance and find a conveniently located parking spot. Head to the nearest shuttle stop booth and be ready to catch the next shuttle which will depart the lot every 30 minutes (on the hour and 30 minutes past.)

Question: What do I do upon my return?
Answer: Once aboard the shuttle, let our driver know the location of your parked car. When you return to our facility, the shuttle will drop you off at your vehicle and assist you with your luggage if needed. From there, simply pull into the exit lane. If the gate does not read your license plate, scan your reservation from your phone or the printed copy you received in your confirmation email and be on your way!

Question: What do I need to bring on the day I depart?
Answer: All you need to bring with you is the luggage you’re traveling with! At Pink Elephant Long Term Parking, we want to make things as easy as possible, so you don’t need any paperwork. We’re a paperless facility, so after you’ve made a reservation, we can look you up in our system when you arrive.

Question: Do we need to leave the keys to the car?
Answer: NO. We are a self-park-only facility.

Question: What payment methods do you accept?
Answer: Most reservations are paid in full in advance. So, you will scan your reservation and if no money is owed, the gate will open and you can exit. If there is a balance, we accept cash, VISA, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Diners. Please note, exit lane 2 is a pay station and does not accept cash.

Question: Do you charge an hourly parking rate?
Answer: No, our reservation rates are based on a 24-hour interval (with a two-hour grace period). This means your reservation will start at the time you park your car and will end when you return to our facility.

Question: Is my parking reservation subject to Newark’s 15% city parking tax?
Answer: Yes. The city of Newark requires Pink Elephant Long Term Parking to collect a 15% parking tax from every customer.

Question: Should I pre-pay for my parking reservation?
Answer: Yes. When you make a parking reservation with us, you’ll need to pay for your reservation in full at the time you make it. This guarantees an available parking space for you for the dates you select. (Please note that your reservation is fully refundable up to the start time of your reservation. After that there is a one day no show fee charged.)

Question: Is there a fee for using your airport shuttles?
Answer: Nope! Every parking reservation comes with a free shuttle ride to and from Newark Airport. Tips are welcome and appreciated if the service warrants it.

Question: Is Pink Elephant Long Term Parking affiliated with Newark Liberty International Airport?
Answer: No. Pink Elephant Long Term Parking is a private company that offers convenient, Newark long term parking as well as competitive prices.

Question: How do I get to and from EWR?
Answer: When you make a reservation with Pink Elephant Long Term Parking, you’ll have access to our free shuttles. These shuttles leave our lot every 30 minutes starting at the top of the hour to transport customers between our facility and the terminals at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Question: Are there infant/child car seats available on your shuttles?
Answer: Unfortunately, no. Because our shuttles operate similar to public buses, car seats are not required. If you have your own car seat, however, you’re welcome to use it.

Question: How do I get back to Pink Elephant Long Term Parking after I return from my trip?
Answer: After you’ve landed and picked up your luggage from baggage claim, call or text the number on the information card we gave you on the shuttle and let us know what terminal at. Follow the instructions on the back of your card to the pickup location for your terminal and we’ll let you know when the shuttle will arrive to whisk you back to your car.

Question: Can I ride the shuttle to any other location?
Answer: No. Our shuttles provide transportation service between our facility and the 3 passenger terminals at Newark Liberty International Airport only.

Question: Why do I need to pre-pay in full when I make a reservation?
Answer: When you pay up front, you’ll be guaranteed a parking space at our facility for the dates you select. In addition, your check-out experience will be much faster since you’ve already paid for the service.

Question: Is my reservation refundable?
Answer: Reservations with us guarantee you a spot to park. This reservation is refundable up to the start date and time of the reservation. Reservation is non-refundable after the start date and time. We hold that spot open for you and your car. You have until the start of your reservation to cancel. If you do not show up, we have held the spot for you and you have taken away our opportunity to sell the spot to other persons. Once that time has passed you forfeit your payment.

**If we can not provide you a spot we will refund your full payment and pay for you to park at any another facility. (A receipt from the facility with matching start and ending dates that match your reservation with us must be presented for payment.)

Question: How far in advance should I make my parking reservation?
Answer: We recommend making your Newark long term parking reservation as soon as you book your flight. This way, you can ensure our services are available and are able to cancel your reservation if your plans change. If we have space available, you can reserve prior to driving to the airport if you would like.

Question: Do I need to make a reservation in order to park at Pink Elephant Long Term Parking?
Answer: Reservations are highly recommended; however, we offer parking without a reservation as long as there is a parking space available. If you make a reservation, you’re guaranteed to have a spot, which is why we recommend them.

Question: What time should I arrive at the facility?
Answer: Our shuttles leave the parking lot on a schedule. Shuttles depart our lot on the hour, 30 minutes past the hour and 30 minutes before the hour. We recommend arriving at Pink Elephant Long Term Parking about 10 minutes before the shuttles scheduled departure time. You will be to your terminal within 5 minutes of leaving our lot.

Question: Do the arrival and return times on my reservation need to be exact?
Answer: We understand that travel times can change, which is why we allow some wiggle room on your arrival and return times. We’re looking for more of an approximate time you’ll be arriving to drop off your vehicle and an approximate time you’ll be returning to pick up your vehicle.

Question: What happens if I have a pre-paid reservation and my flight is canceled and it’s moved to the following day? Is my reservation still good or do I lose it?
Answer: At check out, we would re-open your reservation and charge you a “cancelled flight” fee ( Which is 50% off of our daily rate) for this trip. You can then just use the same reservation the following day. If your flight is cancelled completely, we would charge you the flight cancelled fee and refund you the balance of your Pre-paid reservation.

Question: What Do I Do If I Need To Cancel My Parking Reservation?
Answer: Reservations with us guarantee you a spot to park. This reservation is refundable up to the start date and time of the reservation. Reservation is non-refundable after the start date and time. We hold that spot open for you and your car. You have until the start of your reservation to cancel. If you do not show up, we have held the spot for you and you have taken away our opportunity to sell the spot to other persons. Once that time has passed you forfeit your payment.

To cancel your reservation, click the “cancel reservation” option at the bottom of the reservation email you received after booking. If your reservation was made through a 3rd party, you will need to contact that company directly in order to cancel it.

Question: Is Pink Elephant Long Term Parking responsible for lost or stolen valuables?
Answer: No, we cannot be held responsible. At Pink Elephant Long Term Parking, we provide a variety of security features to keep your belongings safe, including video surveillance, fencing, bright lighting, and foot patrol. However, just like any other parking situation, please do not leave your valuables in your car if you want to guarantee their security. AirPark at Newark is a self park facility and as with any Newark long term parking facility you park at your own risk.

Question: What happens if I return to find damage on my vehicle? Whose insurance will cover the damage?
Answer: Your insurance company should cover the damage. This situation is the same if you park your car in any other parking lot. AirPark at Newark is not responsible for any damage claims.
